Endless Embellishment

Hello :)

Ladies, strapped for cash but drooling over all the embellished pieces on the high street? Don't fret, I have ten lovely little beauties to feast your eyes over! Embellishment on clothing is BIG news this season from delicate beading embroidery, to large jewel embellishment to spikes and studs.  Due to the various types of embellishment, this trend can be worn by anyone and can be adapted to any personal style, so there's a type of embellishment out there for you! Sometimes however, throwing on a piece of statement jewellery has exactly the same effect and can be less daunting if new to the trend, so i’m including statement jewellery on my top ten embellishment list too.  Enjoy!

This embellished peplum bodycon dress from Missguided is £34.99 and the most expensive option in my list however, it does nail two of this seasons trends, embellishment AND the peplum, so its definitely worth it.

Absolutely love this stunning ursula heavy sequin mini skirt from boohoo and it's a complete steal at only £20.

This shell pink embellished floral trim top is £22.99 from New Look and is a great buy if you love girly and feminine styles.

This embellished necklace top has more of a gothic style to it which is also big news this season.  You can get your mitts on this from Miss Selfridge and it is £24.

On to jewellery now with this neon yellow diamante thread wrap necklace from New Look being a personal favourite of mine.  Throw this on to glam up any outfit and dip your toes into the hot neon look, and at a price of £6.99, it's hard to refuse.

This large leshka jewelled ring is only £6.99 from Missguided and is an easy way to incorporate the embellished style into your look.

These Asos gem drop earrings will add instant glamour to any outfit for a mere £8.00.

These lovely little denim hotpants with studded embroidery are now only £21.00 down from £38.00 in the sale on Asos, so get clicking!

LOVE this fanella checked shirt with stud embellishment from Missguided.   At a price of £25.99, this is a great little find at just over half price of ZARA's similar £40 version.

This Asos hearts and bows chiffon studded collar blouse is only £24.99 and is so versatile, wear it on its own or under a jumper for a cute preppy look with an edge.
However if your looking for something a bit cheaper, simply add a removable collar onto any top for the same affect,  this one is from Boohoo and is only £10.

Or why not do some DIY and embellish your own clothes, transforming old unworn items to new on trend pieces?  This website sells everything you need if you want to try out studding yourself so have a look and go stud crazy girls! http://studsandspikes.com/

Get Her Look

Hello :)

I have a new little style crush at the moment and she goes by the name Chloe Moretz.  At the age of 15 she has already starred in many big name films such as 500 Days of Summer and Kick Ass to name a few, although it is her significant style that has got me drooling! Oozing ladylike glamour, this young style icon is already giving the older beauties of the fashion world a run for their money when spotted with friend and fellow fashionista Blake Lively at the Gossip Girl 100th episode party. I specifically loved her at 'Carrie' Comic-Com 2012 New York Panel wearing an Antonio Berardi outfit from the resort 2013 collection.  Looking effortless in a sheer white shirt, silk blazer with patterned sleeves, baby blue jacquard a-line skirt and black and white sandals, Moretz nailed the classic ladylike look while still looking young and fresh.  I know what your all thinking, how on earth do I get this for myself? well fear not, I have done a little searching and come up with my own lookalike version of this outfit for a fraction of the price.

This lovely little Topshop co-ord mint boucle skirt is a complete steal in the sale reduced to £20! It captures the same classy, ladylike feel as Moretz and gives the outfit the glamorous feel.

This structured black blazer keeps the look crisp, with the leather look sleeves incorporating this seasons hottest trend of gothic/grunge (missguided £28).

The sheer white chiffon shirt is a wardrobe staple and the fact that this one is a mere £14.99 from New Look makes it even harder to resist.

Ok I know these are not exactly the same as Chloe Moretz's beautiful shoes but I couldn’t find many that were within our student price range, so figured these were the closest I was going to get! Simple and classy these sandals are a fab find and at a very reasonable price of £35 from Boohoo, we can’t really complain.

ATTENTION!

Hello :)

If you haven't noticed the military trend all over the high street you have been living under a rock, ITS EVERYWHERE! Designers such as Barbara Bui, Burberry Prorsum and Aquilano Rimondi revealed their military influences for their A/W 2012 collections, with high street stores such as Zara and Topshop quickly following suit.  This trend has taken a modern feminine twist this season with clinched in waists and a fitted shape.  Speaking of Zara and Topshop, they have many amazing military inspired pieces however they can still be slightly expensive for my dwindling funds! Dont panic though as I found a cheeky little steal of a jacket from Own The Runway at a price of £34.99! Simply add a wide waist-clinching belt such as this one from Boohoo £8 to nail the military trend!

Start playing dress up ...

Hello :)

Finding out that for our second year of Fashion Management we were required to make a blog made my very groggy post-freshers mood lighten considerably on that first day back! Consequently a few days later 'All Jessed Up' was born and here we are on my first ever post.  My blog will focus primarily on helping fellow strapped-for-cash students like myself emulate catwalk looks and celebrity styles on a budget. My recent buys (that I feel everyone should see, because I will more than likely be over-excited by my taken opportunity to spend money) will also feature on my blog. I for one know the turmoil that most fashion students go through of deciding if sacrificing a weeks food shopping budget for that amazing dress that you NEED for a night out is the most reasonable decision. Therefore I will try and feature student friendly prices so we can eat to survive and continue with our fashion addiction, HURRAY!

Hope you enjoy my beauties!
