Hello :)
Christmas is on it's way along with lots of festive parties, and that only means one thing ...SPARKLESSSS! This is definitely my favourite time of year and I just can't wait to get all dolled up at any given opportunity. Sparkles are everywhere on the high street just now and I have picked my Top 5 dresses that will be sure to get you noticed for all the right reasons at these Christmas parties. Dazzle this season and transform into a human disco ball with sparkles, sparkles and more sparkles!
I know that at this time of the year everyone is a bit too poor for their own good from buying presents for our family and friends so iv looked especially for dresses under £30. No more feeling guilty about buying for ourselves! Yipeee
This sequin Peplum dress from Missguided is only £23.39 reduced in the sale and it comes in 4 different colours of plum, gold, black and blue. A perfect peplum for everyone this Christmas.
This beautiful navy and silver dress is a bargain in the New Look sale reduced from £59.99 to £30.00. It also has beading as well as sequins, what more could a girl want!
Gold and silver sequins mixed together in this classic cap sleeved dress from River Island at a merry price of £25.00!
This one shoulder sequin body-con dress from Boo Hoo is only £25.00 and comes in both gold and silver sequins
Love this sequin contrast shift dress with an emerald top. This shows a different style to most of the other versions on the high and is a good option to wear if wearing top to toe sequins is a little daunting. Only £27.99 from Missguided.
So ladies, steal the spotlight this party season in a sparkly number like every fashionista should!
Have a fabulous Christmas and a happy new year!!

Chanel: Paris-Edimbourg pre-fall collection
Hello :)
Ladies, I nearly spat out my tea in shock when I first heard
that Chanel were holding there legendary Metier d’Art fashion extravaganza in
none other than LINLITHGOW. Apart from myself being extremely jealous of the
people that saw this breathtaking show, I was also very proud to say that by
being Scottish I could maybe by classed as involved in some minute way. The show clearly celebrated the Scottish heritage and years of intertwining with the country and the designer, with many of the designs featuring tartan, highland colours,
tweed and Fair Isle knitwear. Extremely talented craftsmen were also involved in the pre-fall collection, titled Paris-Edimbourg, such as Lemarie for feathers, Desrues for the jewels, maison Lesage for lace embroidery and the Scottish cashmere company, Barrie, for the knitwear. Here are a few photographs of my favourites from the collection.
If you aren't lucky enough to have spare cash to splash out on these amazing designs, don't worry, I have been doing my research to find affordable, high street, copy-cat versions of the themed collection.
This cream frill dress from River Island replicates the high necked, frilly and feminine style of many of the lace dresses and shirts featured in the Chanel collection. This dress is only £15.00 reduced in the sale so is a cheap way of incorporating the quirky style into your wardrobe.
This navy blue boucle cardigan is similar to the structured shape of the knitted cover ups in this collection. The deep highland colour also replicates the shades used and at only £22.99 from New Look, it's an easy and effective way to update your outfit to suit Chanel's pre-fall designs.
These checked cigarette trousers from Topshop at £40.00, are perfect for capturing the Scottish heritage style that's portrayed in the Chanel show. This bold print is great for the confident fashionistas out there, however if you feel they resemble more of your grandads golfing trousers then opt for a more subtle print with faded hues.
Well I don't know about you but i'm feeling all patriotic from that Scottish heritage fashion, so ... Haste ye back ladies!

Styling the Royal Baby Bump
Hello :)
With the recent announcement of Kate Middleton's pregnancy I feel it's fair to say I am oh so very excited for a royal baby! I am however, already envious of the baby due to them having an opportunity to play dress up in Kate's amazing wardrobe. As we all know, Kate's style is immaculate and always classy with her regularly wearing elegant designs from Mulberry, Temperley London, Reiss and one of her favourite designers, Jenny Packham, to name a few. I specifically love the beautiful printed dress by Singapore designer, Prabal Gurung that Kate recently wore in Singapore. This floral mirrored dress is a slightly different choice for the duchess as she normally opts for the designs of less edgy designers. This choice was however, a clear hit with her fans as the online retailer MyHabitcom sold out of this wool and silk dress within an hour of her being papped, despite the $599 price tag. The big question is however, what is Kate going to wear with her growing baby bump? I hope Kate continues to mix designer and high street looks throughout her pregnancy to help us believe that she still is human after all. Maternity retailers over the country will no doubt be praying for the same due to the success that MyHabit.com gained from her loyal fashion followers. Anyway ladies, I suppose we will just have to wait and see what this royal baby bump will be wearing in the coming months, watch this space!
